How can I obtain international standards from IEI?
IEI National Accredited Body
Orders for international standards should normally be addressed to the IEI Accredited Body or its authorized Certifications Bodies in your country. See the Full List of Accredited Bodies to find the legal IEI’s Accredited Body in your country. IEI accredited bodies are the primary sales agents for IEI’s international standards in their country.
IEI Central Secretariat
International standards can also be obtained from the IEI Central Secretariat via the IEI Financial Department or may be ordered by telephone, e-mail, fax and by traditional mail order. Please note, however, that if you place your order by phone, it should always be confirmed by mail, e-mail or fax.
In order to avoid delivery errors, it is important that you accurately quote the standard's exact name. For standards published in several parts, you should specify the number(s) of the required part(s). If not, all parts of the standard will be provided. How do I select and purchase a standard?
The IEI website provides you with a detailed list of international standards that you can order. All items available for purchase have been provided with full explanatory information which can be of great help for interested customers.
After taking your final decision about the standard that you are interested in, you can contact with the IEI’s National Accredited Body or any of its legal Certification Bodies to receive an Application Form. After completing the said Application Form and submitting it, you can go to discuss about the next steps and signing the related contract/s.
What products can I order online?
All IEI products can be ordered online. Almost all can be delivered in either of two ways. First is the traditional paper method. You can ask for “hardcopy” documents to be delivered to you or you can choose to download them as electronic documents in Adobe Acrobat PDF format that you can store on your computer.
How can I pay for my order?
Purchasers dealing directly with the IEI Central Secretariat can opt to pay for IEI services by bank transfer or by using a credit card. Online customers can either pay by credit cards through our secure payment system or via bank transfer. We will accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Your credit card information is kept safe through the use of our secure transaction system (see also our Privacy policy).
Payments by bank transfer must be made in US Dollar and include your order number. Your payment information will be processed immediately and confidentially. Once we have received your payment you will get a confirmation email from us and your order will be sent or made available for download.
Are any taxes applied to online orders?
Local taxes are only applied for online orders delivered in USA. No additional taxes are charged for delivery of products outside of USA.
What is Adobe Acrobat PDF format?
PDF is a file format from Adobe. Details on PDF format can be obtained from Adobe Systems. You need to have the Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer in order to open and read the PDF file(s) you have purchased. Acrobat Reader is freely downloadable from the Adobe web site.
The IEI Store's PDF files are provided in either character-based format or, for older documents, in TIFF image-based format.
All IEI standards which are downloaded are watermarked.
What is a watermark?
A watermark is additional information that has been added to a document to identify the rightful licensee. In the case of downloaded standards, using a watermark is a means of personalizing each standard that you download. By default the watermark displays (on each page of the standard) the order number, the download date, the company name and the last name provided in the billing address. In case you are not the final user of the standard and therefore need to have another name on the watermark you will need to create a shipping address and provide the last name of the rightful licensee of that IEI International Standard. This is only possible within the same company.
Please note that we are strictly dedicated to end users only and not to resellers as per the terms of the License Agreement. If you would like to resell our product Standards, please contact the IEI Accredited Body in your country.
How do I receive my product?
All IEI certificates are issued and printed only and only by central secretariat and none of IEI’s Accredited Bodies or their respective Certification Bodies are allowed to issue any certificate by their own.
Following this, after issuing and printing any certificate, it is shipped to the related Accreditation Body to be submitted to the final customer.
How soon can I receive my order?
Orders for physical products, such as standard certificates, are dispatched as soon as possible after they have been processed. This will usually be within five days after your order is received. Please allow two to three days for your order to be delivered. All orders for documents in paper format are shipped from the IEI Central Secretariat, USA, by courier service (DHL, TNT or UPS).
