Standards Certification Process
IEI develops International Standards, including management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 which are performed directly by itself or indirectly by external certification bodies which are largely private.
When a company or organization is certified to a standard by IEI, they will receive a certificate from their country’s Accredited Body and the name of the IEI organization and the Standard name appears on this certificate.
The certification process is a multiple-step process. The certification cycle is described briefly:
· Application for certification from client (Application Form)
· Offer from IEI or its legal Accredited Bodies
· Offer acceptance from client and order confirmation by IEI
· Offering the required documents by client
· Pre-audit (optional)
· Certification audit
· Issue of certificate on successful completion of certification audit
· Surveillance audits at defined interval
· Re-certification audit after 3 years
